Clinique Black Honey for the eyelids
And the novelty of glossing your eyes with Addiction Tokyo.
I’ve called back to this post on
your own once before when I discussed my mascara predictions for the months ahead. It’s in this same post that I learned about the product in discussion today: Addiction Tokyo The Eyeshadow Multi-Tint. I just got around to purchasing two, Hidden Brown and Night Groove, on Black Friday. The former is the eye area equivalent of Clinique Black Honey if you ask me. Let’s discuss, briefly. There is no shortage of clear or transparent-and-glittery lid toppers and eyeglosses on the market. This is different, though. It's transparent but adds a sheer tint sans sparkle — and until this product, I'd not seen anything like it. Its level of pigment is roughly the same as a tinted lip balm. It's somewhat buildable, but that typically relies on the product's ability to dry or set before adding another layer—which this does not. It's not longwearing, either, but I would slide it on before a night out, regardless. And not even necessarily for the look or wear alone.
I got to thinking about the concept of eye glosses and shiny lid tints, how there’s novelty in new application. We makeup wearers have become so accustomed to reapplying lip glosses and balms throughout our daily or nightly wear that there's a intrigue in an eye product that invites the same habit. Next evening out, I’ll pop this in my bag and maybe skip the lip.
I have one going out bag by the way, and I have had it for years. It’s a black, crochet foldover baguette by The Sak. I’ve gone back and forth on purchasing other evening bags, but what for? This blends in, and I could comfortably lose it without freaking out. I hope I don’t jinx myself!
Have a good evening.

This is cool! If I’ve to be honest, Black Honey doesn’t appeal to my lips that well though it’s raved to be universally flattering..hmm
